Outdoor Sports Facilities
St. Mary’s University

The Park at St. Mary’s is a modern, multi-use complex with the capability of hosting NCAA championship events, youth sports clinics, festivals and concerts. Construction on the $17.3 million complex began in spring 2012. Work included renovations to the baseball eld and the construction of a new baseball facility, additional tennis courts, two soccer elds and two softball elds.

“This spectacular sports complex bene ts not only the St. Mary’s Rattlers,” St. Mary’s University President Thomas Mengler says, “(but) it’s also a home run for the West Side of San Antonio.”

As the newest sports venue in San Antonio, the St. Mary’s University outdoor park will not only serve as a premier sports venue, but will also serve the community of West Side San Antonio. St. Mary’s hosts such annual events as Oyster Bake. As a component of the St. Mary’s Neighborhood Revitalization Project, the new facility will positively impact the neighborhood and the area surrounding the 36th Street side of the campus. The new complex will build on a strong bond with the surrounding community, with facilities designed with this audience in mind, and an intimate feel that will bring fans close to the action.
