Zarzamora Middle School
Muñoz & Company designed this 113,000 square foot facility for south san antonio independent school district. The middle school contains 6th, 7th and 8th grade classrooms, science classrooms, a library, science labs, special education classrooms, administration offices, a cafeteria, a band hall, a theater arts classroom, a gymnasium, locker rooms, and other support spaces.
The building is constructed out of pre-engineered metal building structure that is suspended on concrete slabs. The exterior of the middle school consists of CMU veneer and metal panels over metal stud back up walls.
